Abstract
The ATLAS detector is composed of several subdetectors, each one with its signal conditioning and digitizing system, that provide the necessary analog signal conditioning (i.e., amplification, filtering, etc.), analog-to-digital conversion, digital signal processing (i.e., data compression, digital filtering, etc.), and interface to the successive data acquisition system of the experiment.
