Abstract :
This paper summarises recent trials results obtained using PicoSAR, the lightweight high performance radar developed by Selex ES. Data collected using the PicoSAR radar have been used to improve the performance of the existing ground-moving target indication (GMTI) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) modes. Timely access to trials data has proven invaluable in the development of signal processing algorithms at Selex ES. Early testing of algorithms with real-data, exhibiting all the imperfect properties of the real-world, allows rapid iteration of software to provide robust capabilities in real-world operation.
