Abstract :
The efficient allocation of the finite radar resources available in a network of multifunction radar systems is a key performance factor for the network. This paper considers the case where the radar network´s resource must be allocated between multiple targets which are maintained using the active tracking function. This paper proposes a method that coordinates the allocation of radar resource and selects operational parameters for active tracking tasks in a radar network. The proposed method is compared in simulated scenarios to the uncoordinated case where each radar node optimises its allocation of resource independently.
