Abstract :
Permanent change in moisture content can cause the damages of materials. Each material has different sensitivity and for the preventing of art collections of culture heritage is the knowing of equilibrium moisture content very important. The equilibrium moisture content is a function of relative humidity and temperature of surrounding air. This relationship is described by a large number of mathematical models. As the most suitable available model for the equal-sorption compensation for the preventive conservation was chosen the logarithmic Henderson model. For the predicting of equilibrium moisture content it is necessary to know the parameters of this mathematical model. This paper deals with assessing the parameters of Henderson model and design of equal-sorption humidity control.
