Abstract :
The article deals with the problem of objects detection by its radar data, obtained from synthesized aperture radar (SAR). This method is based on fractal properties of the data. It is shown, that algorithm of fractal dimension estimation by the method of maximum likelihood is sufficient statistic. Fractal detector of RF signals is synthesized; analysis with Gaussian approximation of correlation dimension estimation is made as non-Gaussian as well. Comparative analysis of detection characteristics for various statistic distributions is done; field of applicability of Gaussian approximation is defined. Complex energy-fractal detector is synthesized, its analysis is made and expressions for detection characteristics are got.
