Abstract :
Expediency of random ranging signals (RS) usage in weather radars (WR) intended for measuring reflectivity of meteorological formations (MF) is proved theoretically and experimentally. The results of synthesis of pseudo random signals RS with super low side lobe level (SLL) of correlation function (CF) are given. For compression ratio 60 theoretically SLL - 77 dB and experimentally - 75 dB with losses less than 0.07 dB is received. For decreasing influence of reflections from local objects at the nearest zone it is desirable to improve suppression of side lobe level till 100 dB and more. Additional methods decreasing SLL till - 90 - 320 dB are considered.
