Abstract :
This paper focuses on the ground moving target detection of airborne radar using the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform. To solve the problem of clutter suppression, a raw echo model is built considering the relative motion of ground static clutter in the airborne radar. Based on this, a generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) test to the airborne radar for both clutter suppression and moving target detection is proposed, following with the performance analyses. In this test maximum likelihood estimate (MLE) is used, which is easy to get unknown but necessary parameters for clutter suppression. The probabilities of detection and false alarm are also deduced, and the minimum detection velocity (MDV) at different target-to-clutter ratio (TCR). The simulations results testify the efficiency of GLR test, which proves that OFDM waveform has good performance in ground moving target detection.
