Abstract :
This article is focused on the design of the low cost, short range but fully functional synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system. First, the simulations of selected SAR algorithm are presented as a background for following determination of the main SAR system parameters. Next, the main SAR parameters and characteristics are derived for this selected SAR algorithm. Finally, the block diagram of such SAR is shown including a description of the main SAR elements parameters. The design of the block diagram of the real SAR system is the major contribution of this article.
