  • Abstract
Based on the literature review, the technology spillover mechanism can be concluded to four categories: demonstration-imitation effect, competition effect, correlation effect and training-flow effect. The technology spillover is always hysteretic. On the basis of multi-period lagged effect of multinational corporations´ technology spillover, the paper used panel data and regression method, analyzed the effect of multinational corporations´ patent application or invention patent application on Chinese enterprises´ patent output during the lag period of 0-3 years. The results show that the characteristics of multinational corporations´ technology spillover are different at different stages. The demonstration-imitation effect and the flow effect of human capital gradually weaken, exhibiting L-shape. The competition effect and the correlation effect first increase and then decrease, exhibiting U-shape.
