Welcome to the proceedings of the Pacific Visualization Symposium 2013 (PacificVis 2013), held in Sydney, Australia from February 26th to March 1st, 2013. PacificVis 2013 is the sixth in a series of successful events - Kyoto (2008), Beijing (2009), Taipei (2010), Hong Kong (2011), and Songdo (2012) - that have been sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society Visualization and Graphics Technical Committee (VGTC).
