Abstract
This paper presents an optimization Algorithm for grid-connected DG using Genetic Algorithm. In grid-connected mode, DG injects predefined active and reactive power and any change of load is supplied by the main-grid. Goal of the optimization process is to minimize steady state error and overshoot of the DG output powers. Proportional and integral gains of the PI controller are optimized for this goal. Performance of the optimized controller tested using simulations in MATLAB/Simulink. Stability analysis of the controller is verified using classical approach.
