  • Abstract
AC line elimination in a parallel AC/DC transmission system is investigated for segmentation analysis of small scale power system. The segmentation concept is explained. It is a recently proposed method to ease the planning and operating of current power systems. The rotor angle stability analysis in a segmented power system is studied. Simulations are performed in a two-area test system. The results show that segmentation concept can be studied through AC line trip parallel to DC transmission.
