Abstract :
This work is framed within the field of conversion of wave energy into electricity, specifically using point absorbers. Such a system is made up of a buoy connected by a rope to the Power Take-Off system. A wave energy converter model has been developed and implemented in MATLAB Simulink. The model includes the dynamics of the interaction between the sea and the buoy, and the linear generator. In this paper, the model of the system is described and its operation is illustrated with some simulation results.
