Abstract :
Photovoltaic panels (PV) are receiving bigger attention in the field of renewable energy sources, thus the price of solar panels is decreasing while the technology itself is developing. Nonetheless for making PV a more prosperous option we need to consider the effects of PV systems on the distribution grid. In this paper some of these effects are discussed and used for a better design of the PV system (PVS) in low-voltage distribution networks. The main goal of the work is to get nearer to a more competitive PVS design with the proper placement and sizing of the PVS without energy control. With this the integration of the photovoltaic systems can be facilitated technically and economically.
