  • Abstract
    A review of control methods based on losses reduction in electric drive systems with induction motors is performed in the first part of the paper. One of these control methods may consider the variation of the magnetizing inductance, an important aspect in increasing the efficiency of the drive system. There are presented some methods for estimating the magnetizing inductance. At the end of the paper there are presented the simulation results for the online identification of the magnetizing inductance in a drive system with an induction motor.
