Abstract :
This paper presents computational results of the grounding systems modeling influence on the reimbursement request analysis. The main idea consists in developing a practical way of tackling the subject of the relationship between electrical network strokes and consumer equipment damages. This investigation of the casual nexus is relevant when reimbursement requests are involved. Based on a non-linear approach methodology a modified model is proposed and implemented in a given computational program aimed at evaluating the consistence between abnormal operating conditions and equipment dielectric and thermal withstand limits. Using a typical distribution system, studies are carried out using the aforementioned representation of grounding systems in order to highlight the importance of providing a more realistic ground representation.
