Abstract :
IIn this work, the prima-dual interior point methods are used to minimize the DC predispatch generation and transmission costs and loss on hydroelectric power systems with previously scheduled transmission line maneuvering. A matrix structure study is also performed considering the changes that occur in the system. A simulation of maneuvers is performed through the transmission lines bound reduction. The new alternative is compared with the explicit maneuvering version, applied to IEEE test and Brazilian systems.
