Abstract :
Due to the advantage of high spectral efficiency and flexible bandwidth allocation capability, coherent-optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CO-OFDM) optical transport networks have recently received extensive interests. In this paper, we discuss several important research aspects on this type of network ranging from nodal architectures, key networking research issues, and testbeds.
