Abstract :
Synthesis of nanoparticles utilizing plants´ extract is the most emerging green chemical method as compared to physical and chemical methods. In this work silver nanoparticles synthesis by green chemical method involving leaves aqueous extract of Ziziphus nummularia & citrullus colocynthis are reported.The plants used in the study has been reported to possess potential antimicrobial, antihelminthic, antidiabetic and antipyretic activity. These plants are traditionally used in the treatment of colds, wound healing, burns, anaemia and diarrhea. The synthesized silver nanoparticles have been characterized by UV-VIS spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry and FT-IR Analysis. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) will also be utilized to characterize the morphology of the silver nanoparticle. Chemical composion can be checked by EDAX. Further, these silver nanoparticles can be used as a catalyst in chemical conversions.
