Abstract :
A simple green method is used for the synthesis of silver (Ag) nanodendrites. The aqueous leaf extract of Rhizophora apicualata was used for the synthesis of Ag nanodendrites. The bioorganic components present in the aqueous extract acted as a reducing agent. The absorption maxima of silver nanoparticle are confirmed by UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD) suggest the crystalline nature of Ag nanoparticles. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images revealed the formation of silver nanodendrites. The morphology of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) varied with the concentration of the precursor metal salts. The use of environmentally benign reducing agent makes the synthesis ideally suited for production and its application in medical field.
