Abstract
This research aims to identify the main drivers affecting the global supply chain design on the basis of literature research. 29 drivers, classified into five categories, were collected from 30 papers published since 1974, and the effects of each driver on different operational processes of supply chain system were analyzed. In addition, the potential research directions on the basis of identified drivers were proposed.
