  • Abstract
A prototype of measurement system with enhanced sensitivity, dedicated to olfactory potentials has been performed. The registration system of olfactory evoked potentials, based on high-gain amplifiers and high-resolution analog-to-digital converters with dedicated software for noise cancellation, gives possibility to register the signals with high precision. The accurate and precise odour sample dispenser with controlled odour parameters and synchronization with patient breathing rhythm has been also elaborated. The system is helpful in a diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases, and can recognize a human olfactory phenomena.
