Abstract :
In this article a safe and affordable system of medicaments dispensation is described. The system can be utilized in both hospital and home environments. The main purpose of the device is medicament dispensation accordingly to doctor prescriptions. As a first element of the system a safe medicament dispenser prototype was built. The device is designed to fulfill the needs of patients forced to take drugs accordingly to prescribed scheme. Innovative safety features include a built-in GSM module. This feature ensure that a patient has taken the medicaments and in case of lack of patient reaction alarms a supervisor. A system to avoid therapy errors can also be applied.
