Abstract :
The transient stability analysis incorporating wind farm consisting of doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) and direct-driven permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is studied in this paper. In modelling of DFIG and PMSG, simplified models combined behaviours of the wind generator and its rotor converter are adopted. Furthermore, an equivalent simplified model of wind farm with consideration of wake effect is established. On the basis of the constructed wind farm model, the Monte Carlo simulation is carried out on the IEEE 10-generator-39-bus test system to reveal the impacts of wind generation intermittency on power system transient stability. Finally, some preliminary results and comments are drawn.
