            Abstract :
In this paper, a new compact decoder-type gate driver with hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin-film transistors (TFTs) is proposed. All the TFTs in the proposed gate driver are AC-biased with the duty ratio of 50% or less to counteract the instability issue of a-Si:H TFTs, but at the same time, the output can avoid a high-impedance state to resist against noise. It also improves the previous decoder-type gate driver with respect to the driving time utilization, circuit area, and number of TFTs.
