Abstract :
In this paper, an efficient video recording scheme for smart vehicle is proposed. The proposed scheme solves the problem of huge data storage needed for accident video recording. It works efficiently with small amount of storage size and guarantee saving accident video in secondary storage. It supports real-time video and data capture and recording before and during vehicle accident. The accident video and data are recorded in the remote ITS server. The scheme is implemented using testbed and its performance is evaluated. The results show that the proposed scheme guarantees record the accident with different scenarios. The proposed scheme has better results in comparison with full time video recording scheme.
