Abstract :
TKN15.4 is a platform-independent IEEE 802.15.4-2006 MAC implementation for the 2.1 release of the TinyOS operating system. It has attracted strong interest in industry and academia and is now adopted by several other wireless standards, such as ZigBee, IETF 6lowPAN or WirelessHART. In this paper, a 2008 specification ZigBee network layer architecture is presented. A well-structured architecture of a complete network layer based on TKN15.4 layer is designed. This architecture is implemented for TinyOS. A simple WSN application is also developed as an illustration of the proposed network layer.
