Wearable electronics are stealing the limelight at all the big tech shows. However, the concept has been around for some time in both the medical field and fitness sector. Bluetooth Smart is enabling hardware companies to link their sensor data with smartphones, allowing for a readily available communications platform for all industries. Tracking equipment with Bluetooth Smart connectivity means uploading information straight to the cloud using a smartphone rather than a separate, dedicated hub.
