Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel 2×1 Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) single-carrier broadcasting scheme. This scheme is backward compatible to the existing Single Carrier (SC) broadcasting systems. The performances of the proposed system are compared with those of the Single Input Single Output (SISO) digital television terrestrial broadcasting (DTTB) SC system, the selective-gain-combination receiving diversity scheme and the MISO/SISO orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) schemes. Simulation results show the proposed scheme has satisfying BER performance but with lower PAPR.
