Chairman´s welcome

I would like to welcome you on behalf of the Organizing and Program Committees of MSMW-13. MSMW symposia have been held in Kharkov from 1978 to 1994 as the USSR and later Ukrainian national meetings on mm and sub-mm wave physics and technology. Establishment of Ukraine as independent European nation in 1991 opened new horizons of international collaboration. Since 1998, MSMW has English as single working language that is necessary to provide efficient interaction of the Ukrainian and Western engineers and scientists, to attract international participants and keynote speakers, and to apply for the sponsorship of the major European and international professional societies and associations.
