Abstract
Long-range Phased Array Radar for ballistic defense tracks the Tactical Ballistic Missile ď TBM Đ in Tracking And Searching (TAS) mode. While the range is very large, the accuracy is so bad that the traditional two-state initiation couldn´t predict the beam position correctly which accounts for the missing of target. In order to solve the problem, this paper introduces the weighted least square algorithm to get the initial state and covariance matrix. Simulation results show that this method could fasten the convergence effectively and reduce the probability of beam position departure from the true position of target.
