Abstract
Keystone formatting combined with STAP provides a possible way for fast air moving dim targets detection. The realization of keystone formatting requires interpolation in the range frequency domain to achieve a rescaled slow time axis, which is usually not preferred by hardware engineers for its computation burden, especially in STAP where Keystone formatting should be applied to the data of each element. In this paper, a new method is presented, which compensate the target´s range walk by a filter bank without interpolation. Therefore, good detection performance of fast air moving dim target can be achieved with low computation burden. Effectiveness of the new method is verified via simulation examples.
