Abstract :
This paper presents a novel multi-layer half mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) in-phase power combiner using a composite structure of multi-layer SIW B-plane branch and HMSIW T-junction. In order to balance the phase between output ports, a kind of phase shifter using air holes array in HMSIW is embodied in the power combiner. A K band 4-way in-phase power combiner is designed and fabricated to validate this design method. The simulated and measurement results show that the power combiner is well satisfied for K band high efficiency power combining.
