Abstract :
Micro-Doppler signatures of ballistic targets are of great potential for discriminating the missile warheads and decoys in ballistic midcourse. Considering the rotary symmetrical coning target, the model of nutation is built and the mathematics of micro-Doppler signatures for different scattering centers are developed. Based on the electromagnetic scattering model, computer simulations are conducted by using the time-frequency analysis technique SPWVD to verify theoretic formulas, and the results show that simulated micro-Doppler signatures are coincident with theoretic formulas.
