Abstract :
There are superior influences on space-borne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) of each band at the range resolution, range deviation and signal distortion because of the ionospheric free electrons. This paper briefly analyses the ionospheric effects on the range performance of space-borne SAR. The simulation is presented using the observed data of China, and then the actual ionospheric influence rule is given for each band of space-borne SAR signal. The simulation results provide the basis for the system design and simulation of the space-borne SAR.
