Abstract :
Physical optics (PO) method can deal with the problem of RCS calculation, while the calculation time of this method will still be very long for targets of huge electrical size. Utilizing the platform of the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin (rank first on Top 500 in November 2010), the parallel PO method is used to calculate the RCS of electrically large targets. Furthermore, some benchmarks about parallel efficiency of the code are tested on the supercomputer platform. The results indicate that a linear speedup can be achieved.
