Abstract
In this paper, we proposed a novel scheme for the line of sight (LOS) delay estimation in satellite telecommunication with the modulation of BOC(1,1). It aims to reduce errors caused by the multipath (MP) fading channel in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). The scheme is based on Pseudo-Correlation Function (PCF) with more correlators to mitigate the original point nearby zero-crossing discriminator output. As result, this scheme is much better than the traditional BOC(1,1) narrow correlator without consideration of the side peak locking. In fact, it shows a significant error reduction caused by the presence of MP signals with the delay of longer than 0.1 chips(up to 90%) compared to that of the BOC(1,1) narrow correlator.
