  • Abstract
    Transformations of fuzzy sets to fuzzy sets with lower number of different membership grades are studied. Connection between coarseness and specificity of fuzzy sets is explored. The concept of α-level sets is generalized to the concept of p-level sets, which allows homogenization of membership grades of fuzzy sets with respect to more than one parameter.
