Abstract :
Paper depicts a prototype system for nondestructive testing of composite materials which uses two physical methods for flaw detection: low-velocity impact method and mechanical impedance analysis method. Introduced system uses neural network for processing digitized signals from the sensors and making diagnostic decisions. Paper also describes prototype hard- and software architecture and shows results of experimental testing.
