Abstract :
In the synchronization of Wireless Sensors Network an open problem is the hot-plugging of a new node because it would temporarily degrades the synchronization accuracy among already synchronized nodes. The paper proposes the adoption of a completely decentralized synchronization procedure based on the consensus to (i) detect the presence of a new added node, (ii) avoid that it perturbs the synchronization accuracy, and (iii) force the new node to converge to the common sense of time of the already synchronized nodes. Numerical results are shown to assess the suitability of the proposed procedure and to draw information for experimental tests.
