Abstract :
BeiDou Navigation Satellite System had seen the accomplishment of the construction of its area system by the end of 2012. Considering urban environments are the most frequently used environments of satellite navigation systems, comparative tests are done to analyze the positioning performances of current BeiDou system in urban environments in Wuhan, central China. Based on the observing data acquired along the track of the tests, the visibility, position dilution of precision, (PDOP), and the positioning accuracy are analyzed, according to which the basic positioning performances of current BeiDou Navigation Satellite System in urban environments are revealed.
