Abstract :
In this paper, a tw o-arm conical spiral antenna (CSA) fed by 50 ohm coaxial-cable for Global Satellite Navigation System(GNSS) is designed and simulated, while the traditional CSA has great dimension, in the paper, minimization is achieved with the help of simulation software. To match the balance structure and the wideband character of the antenna, matched balun is inevitable In order to hence the performance of lower frequency, resistors are sealed to the bottom of the arm, simulation results show that the minimized CSA antenna with microstrip balun presenting good performance over the whole frequency range.
