Abstract :
In E-experiment system, servers is often used to centrally manage the experimental plants, but servers bring high power consumption. In order to reduce E-experiment system´s power consumption, cost and size, this paper presents a kind of Web controller by combining embedded technology with LAMP (Linux + Apache + MySQL + PHP), which is the most popular solution stack for Web development all over the word. Instead of using server, this Web controller is used for building a distributed Web control system that allows users to do remote control through web pages online. Experimental results show that this system succeed in controlling robot-arm systems remotely and the Web controller´s power consumption, cost and size are reduced by 99%, 90%, 95% respectively.
