  • Abstract
    On-line detection is very important for XLPE power cables running. The application of Duffing oscillator from big cycle motion to chaotic motion in the detection of water treeing in XLPE power cable is proposed, which is used to improve the precision measuring of the weak 1 Hz characteristic current which is the token of water tree deterioration. The Duffing oscillator from big cycle motion to chaotic motion is more sensitively to same or near periodic signal than the traditional Duffing oscillator. Simulation shows that the Duffing oscillator from big cycle motion to chaotic motion is more suitable to be used to detect the 1 Hz characteristic current precisely and sensitively.
