Abstract :
To provide a long-term monitoring, low cost, easy operation, and accurate physiological signal detection system, this paper proposes an approach based on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) algorithm for breathing and heartbeat monitoring. The control section of system is based on DSP platform, and interactive interface is based on android platform. This paper optimizes the traditional EMD algorithm and makes EMD algorithm can be run on the DSP platform in real time. Experimental results show that the proposed system has high precision and can be operated easily. And this viable method of breathing and heartbeat monitoring system can be applied in a hospital or home for health care.
