Abstract :
Although a sensor network collects a huge amount of data not all data are required to be measured. Therefore, in sensor networks, accumulating all measured data through networks is not necessarily efficient. To solve this problem, we previously developed a multi-overlay sensor network consisting of a hierarchical multiple unstructured P2P overlay network on the sensor network. Our network acquired suitable data from each sensor node that stored the data , so it was able to reduce overhead for data acquisition, the number of queries for searching for the data, and the time for discovering the data. However, we could not construct the topology that searches for the data in a physical network. In this paper, we propose a method in which some nodes existing close together in a physical network construct a topology to search for data more efficiency. Simulation results confirm that the proposed method improves search efficiency.
