Abstract :
In the third quarter issue of the EMC Magazine my good friend Don Sweeney wrote an article on what he did with our colleague Ed Bronaugh´s files and the time it took him to do it. He had an excellent ??coding?? system with colored tags to indicate everything from shredding to giving to our EMC Society History Committee for further reviewing. What this illustrates is that we need to keep some of the key work of our EMC Society technical leaders so that others can make use of that information. To do this there needs to be an accessible repository of what is in our EMC discipline which of course depends on the eyes of the beholder. Archiving is one way to preserve history of key activities or organizations, explain what made the difference in the past to apply in the future, provide a resource for researchers or to remember those involved in the work.
