Abstract :
This paper contains an explanation of droop control to distribute load changes amongst inverter-sourced generators in an islanded microgrid. As the load within the microgrid changes, the inverter-sourced generators will share this change in load but this paper shows that the change will be arbitrary and droop achieves a regulated change. For a microgrid modelled as a collection of ideal voltage sources only the controller and sensor dynamics interact for a stable operation. In this paper only the controller and sensor dynamics are considered.
