  • Abstract
    In this paper we study the requirements on processors for implementing the different system functions of a System-on-Chip (SoC). We illustrate the impact of architecture and implementation choices on processor performance and power consumption. We conclude that a palette of processor technologies is required for building advanced SoCs that meet constraints on power consumption.
