Abstract
To evaluate the potentially negative impact of nonlinear and unbalanced loads on the power system quality and to study possible techniques that will minimize this impact is the main purpose of the proposed paper. Starting from the known loads of a real delivery power system, we simulate the real operational regimes, including measurements of the harmonic distortion. Edsa Paladin software is used to analyze the active and reactive power flow with respect to the bus tension levels calculations, for balanced and un balanced operational stages.
